Allison Duensing

Allison Duensing is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for the Saracen Group of Companies in Houston, Texas. Saracen’s affiliates trade in various asset classes, including a focus on electric power in North America. Prior to joining Saracen in 2007, Ms. Duensing was an associate in the Investment Funds and Private Equity practice of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, representing hedge funds, private equity funds, investment managers and investors. Ms. Duensing received her Bachelors’ degrees from the University of Illinois and her JD from the Duke University School of Law.


Abram Klein

Abram Klein is a Managing Partner for Appian Way Energy Partners, a financial marketer in US RTO markets. He is recognized as an industry expert on issues of electricity market design, price formation and “uplift,” and transmission congestion trading. Abram presented at the Commission’s January 2015 Technical Conference regarding Financial Transactions in PJM (Docket EL14-37), addressing “Uplift Allocation and Cost Causation.” He has spoken at the Nodal Trader Conference on Capacity Markets, Demand Response and Subsidies in Competitive Electricity Markets, 1 and on the Role of Financial Transmission Rights in Competitive Electricity Markets. In 2021, Mr. Klein spoke on the Impact of Market Design on Credit Risk panel at the RTO/ISO Credit Principles and Practices FERC Technical Conference.


Prior to co-founding Appian Way, he was Head of Trading for Edison Mission Marketing and Trading (EMMT), responsible for EMMT's proprietary trading in US energy markets, including over-the-counter trading of financial power and gas forward contracts, as well as trading in ISO congestion and FTR markets in PJM, NYISO, MISO, ERCOT, CAISO and SPP. Prior to joining EMMT in 2001, Abram was a Principal with Putnam, Hayes and Bartlett, and its successor companies, PHB Hagler Bailly and PA Consulting, focusing on market design, price forecasting, and market power analysis. Abram has over 20 years of experience working in the electricity systems of the US and Canada. He has testified before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on multiple occasions and has been a speaker at numerous electricity market conferences. Abram received an MPP degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and an A.B. in Political Science from Brown University.


Rob Marsh

Rob Marsh is the Chief Operating Officer of Monolith Energy Trading. Mr. Marsh has more than 15 years of experience in the electricity markets and more than 20 years of experience in hedge fund trading and operations. He began his career in systems development before moving into quantitative modeling and trading. Since 2004, Mr. Marsh has been involved in trading electricity in the RTO markets. Prior to launching Solios Asset Management (the predecessor to Monolith Energy Trading) in 2005, Mr. Marsh was Director of Research and Trading at Chronos Asset Management Inc., which ran hedge funds utilizing quantitative models to trade equities and mutual funds, from 1999 to 2003. From 2004 to 2008, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Pythagoras Investment Management LLC, which oversaw family office investments in energy and natural resources. Currently, Monolith Energy Trading is an active participant in transmission products in multiple RTOs. Mr. Marsh received his B.S. in Computer Engineering and Sciences from MIT.


Noha Sidhom

Noha Sidhom is CEO of VIRIBUS Fund, a firm focused on trading power products in the organized electricity markets. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Energy Trading Institute, a trade association comprised of the largest power trading firms and a true thought leader in the space. Ms. Sidhom has a distinguished track record of delivering consistently superior returns in her trading activities and is a recog­nized leader and spokesperson for the financial sector in the markets.


As a noted expert in the space. Ms. Sidhom had the distinct privilege of testifying before Congress on the value of power trading to the end-use customer ( Text I Video). She also serves as a distinguished member of the CFTC Energy and Environmental Markets Advisory Com­mittee and as an advisory board member to Digital Gamma. Inc., a lead­ing infrastructure firm in the crypto-trading space. Ms. Sidhom has also served as General Counsel to a large trading firm based in Houston as well as energy counsel with a leading New England firm.
